Question 11

What happens when I mark a product as 'opened'?

Accepted Answer

This is a very useful feature! When you mark a product as 'opened', FoodyBank automatically suggests a more appropriate new expiration date. Question 12

Can I freeze products to extend their expiration date?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Have a product about to expire? Freeze it! Select the product, press 'Manage' and choose 'Freeze'. FoodyBank will suggest a much longer expiration (90 days by default). You can modify the days with the - and + buttons. The product will be marked as 'Frozen' with the new expiration date.
